Dear readers,
In the previous post I’ve been writing about anorexia nervosa, today I’d like to continue description of this disorder. I’m sure that you are interested how anorexia effects on patient. So I’ll tell you. About brain anorexia nervosa global shrinking many parts of it (especially gray and white matter) what can cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating or brain fogginess. But from the psychological way, anorexia is a disorder with one of the highest mortality risk (patients are 5 times more likely to die and 18 times more likely to die by suicide). The most common myth is that people with anorexia don’t eat at all – patients can also have restricting type (very small amounts or long periods of time without eating) or binge eating purging type (going from periods of restrictive eating to binge eating). And the most important question – how looks the treatment? Treatment includes either working with a doctor and a therapist. Treatment with the strongest evidence are Family-based treatment (especially for young people) and cognitive behavioral therapy (for adults). People suffering from anorexia are able to recover from the disorders by not losing hope. So that’s my message for every of you – never lose your hope. See you in the next post.

I guess treatment also includes staying in hospital and being force-fed, to avoid the patient's death.
